Thai Asia Pacific Brewery Co., Ltd. celebrates 28th years of its operations in Thailand with a commitment to promote and improve sustainable growth, education, and road safety for communities in Nonthaburi. The company providing the ‘Namjai TAP Scholarships’ to selected youths for 13 consecutive years and donating helmets for children and youths to Nonthaburi Province’s Sai Yai and Ratniyom Subdistrict Administrative Organizations. Ms. Kornkanok Kaphol, Deputy District Chief of the Administration Office as the representative of Nonthaburi Governor, together with Mr. Somkiat Urirak, Deputy Chief Executive of Ratniyom Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and Lt. Tharndol Yenpetch, Deputy Chief Executive of Sai Yai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, were among the witnesses at Nonthaburi City Hall.
Mr. Kawee Meksongruek, Production Director of Thai Asia Pacific Brewery Co., Ltd., revealed, “To implement our ‘Brew A Better World’ master plan of improving the well-being of communities surrounding our production sites and to support sustainable operations, we continue to provide educational opportunities through ‘Namjai TAP Scholarships’ for 13 consecutive years. This year, we are giving out 40 scholarships to 13 youths from Sai Yai subdistrict and 27 youths from Ratniyom subdistrict. The granting period ranges from elementary school to higher educational levels. Qualified youths must practice good conduct, have, and maintain good academic results and performances, possess talents, or have garnered reputation for the communities, for example, as national team athletes.”
Ms. Patcharachanun Chalodech, a Grade-10 student from Ratniyom School and one of Namjai TAP Scholarships’ winners, said, “I feel very proud to receive this scholarship. TAP Group has provided a great opportunity and it is a driving force for me to continue my higher educational studies. I’m confident that this opportunity will advance my dream career in nursing and it will enable me to help patients in the future with my full potential.”
Ms. Premruedee Nakngam, a 3rd year student from Mahidol University in the Faculty of Arts, English Major, and one of Namjai TAP Scholarships’ winners, said, “Apart from educational expenses support since the 3rd Grade, this scholarship has paved the way for my dreams of working with Thai Asia Pacific Brewery Co., Ltd. in the future. I will apply my knowledge to perform tasks related to foreign languages. Underfunded youths in the community who can maintain good academic performances are eligible to receive this scholarship, not to mention, being able to help support their families as well.”
“In addition to our educational development initiative, this year, for the 2nd consecutive year, we aim to reduce risks and prevent road accidents by donating 100 helmets to children and youths. As we strongly encourage safe driving and road safety is critical to us, instilling awareness of wearing helmets among youths during their daily commutes is a fundamental aspect for the community. Through working in tandem with government agencies at both provincial and subdistrict levels near production plant areas, the allocations of helmets were given to Nonthaburi Province’s Sai Yai and Ratniyom Subdistrict Administrative Organizations for further distributions within the communities and other units accordingly.” Mr. Kawee Meksongruek added.
